"Art is not what you see, it's what you make others see"
Edgar Degas
abstracts
Organic art reeks of a certain inner familiarity, something very fundamental, and essential in our daily lives. My paintings are about the organic complexities that surround us, sometimes about serenity, sometimes complex layering systems of decay, destruction, and re-birth. All of life responds to the primitive, tangible, evolution of our planet. I want the viewer to re-live an atmospheric memory in their relationship to nature. Organic art is rudimentary, it is essential, it’s primordial, supportive and vital.
inks
After actively painting during the day, my Ink drawings, on the other hand, have become a form of meditation for me. I usually end up with a pen and ink in my hand in the evening. They calm me, they allow me to drift untethered into that space of meditation where nothing really is held onto for long. They are auto moments to me. Moments of pure intuitiveness and response in that space in time. I follow my gut....I am lead by my intuition, my history, and my immediate response to line, to color, shape, and imagination.
