![]() I just love this! There was an old lady that lived down the street from me, she just passed away. She looked like an old apple doll, she was very, very sweet. The years in the sun had toasted her a deep brown, and her smile lit everything up, she really was an apple doll in true life. I guess someone was cleaning her house out, and obviously didn't know the goodies she had. I found old ceramics, old planters, spoon rest, tins, in her trash. I started to go through it and realized the bin had some serious treasures in it. I ran back to my house to get the wheelbarrow, went running back and turned the curve in the road just in time to see the trash truck emptying 90 years of treasures into their truck. I had set aside just a couple of pieces.....this tin was one of them. I love the artwork, and the name.....just classic! R.I.P. Little apple doll your Tack Kee Tin is safe with me..... ![]() This is taken right at the beginning of Haleiwa....a very cute little town on the north shore of Oahu, in Hawaii. It's a town that , as an artist, you can just walk around and sketch, very quaint, and a step back into time. The sketches below were done spur of the moment, under 15 minutes. Just brief studies, but I like the way they turned out. ![]() ![]() LIVE RIGHT NOW ON ONE KINGS LANE For the next 72 hours grab one of my giclees professional giclees at a great price! |
