So many of you have written me and loved my "Swing Print" and I am so grateful to hear that you all love my art. Being an artist is sometimes a very lonely job. You try to follow your instincts, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It is just so great for me to hear from so many people that somehow connected to this print, My inspiration are my surroundings in Malibu, the creek, time and layering withing the environment. I am fascinated by strata along the path on the canyon wall. I can almost sense the Chumash Indians that walked that land, imagine where their fire was, the favorite oak tree they gathered around in the evening. The canyon is ripe with history....you can almost hear their drums.
