Courage kind of goes hand in hand with the word task in my mind.
Courage to me is the ability to take on tasks, sometimes gargantuan day after day, doing my best. The courage to make it an accomplishment thru these tasks. Tasks that make my life better, my family's lives better, much more joy filled. Like my garden above, I loved that little garden. My task this coming year is to find a better way for the gophers and ground squirrels, and my garden, to all exist peacefully.
Courage will help me to take chances, try new things, be smart about it all.
Courage helps you step out of your safe little box.
Courage makes you not give a hell what other people think. So many of us are frozen by the judgements of others, sad to say. Do you know if we all had individual courage there would be no such a thing as a bully.
Courage makes you step out of your insecurity, and be a source of power to your soul inside.
I was born with courage, we all were. What happens to it? Some of us think we have it. Some do, a lot don't. Where does it disappear to? It gets squashed, squashed by parents, squashed by teachers, squashed by our peers. Don't let anyone squash your courage, you need it. Pretend it's the last chocolate in the See's box, save it, save it for yourself. It's a gift you can give to your soul. To ultimately shine as brightly as you can, to stand amongst the stars, but shine like no other. Shine in your own courage to be yourself, take on tasks that you accomplish, and grow with success.
Now, THAT my friends is the blessing of courage.....
May Peace bless you and hold you tight in her arms this Holiday Season......
