Here's my new Funky Flower series, it will grow especially if you play funky music for it everyday! These and more will all be available in The Shop for a special size and price! 
My inspiration? Sea glass, sea grasses, the piles of kelp on the beach, sand, current flows, sea urchins, water colorations, growth of all kinds, Broad Beach, Liquitex inks, the beastly weather, and the Great Barrier Reef.
Just some thoughts......My Mom was an executive before women were thought of seriously in business. She taught me to hail a cab in New York City, how much to tip, how to call room service, and how to travel. Here we were at a business meeting at The Caribe Hilton in Puerto Rico, one that she had pulled together for 800 of her closest friends, dinners, tours, dancing, and educational law symposiums. My Mom was just too much!
BUT what most people loved about my Mom was how self-less she really was. She would help anyone anytime. She was the least selfish person I knew. She always made everyone feel like the center of the Universe, and was the kindest person I know. Any bad situation was turned right side up when my Mom was around. She was a huge supporter of the arts and dragged me tirelessly to galleries and museum shows, I loved her for that in later years. She inspired me to be inquisitive. To read, read, read, even at the end of her life (with a brain tumor) she voraciously read up to 12 books a week sometimes.....she was just downright brilliant in a quiet way. We had so much fun together, something that now carries on to my own daughter. I wish all women knew the love and bright shining light of a Mom like mine......I love and miss you Ma! |
