When I was a little girl we lived around the corner from a dance studio. Wow, did that ever set our futures....
Everyday after school Jodi, my cousin slash adopted sister, and I would head over to the studio. She was 5 yrs older and I worshiped her. Every little girl needs a big sister in their life. It's where you get your fashion, makeup and hair, boys, gossip education from. We shared secrets, we loved each other. I would do anything for her in those days. She knew it and worked the heck out of it. She took such advantage of her superior position in life.
I did bite Jodi once though, when I was very young, took a big ol' chunk of her upper arm and clamped down hard. My grandmother bit me back, I will never forget that, I never bit anyone again. Isn't it so funny what we remember in our lives. At the time it's not that important, then we look back on it and think wow, I guess that really had an impact on me and why? You look for the lessons in your lives, and what they did for you.
I had a brain aneurysm in 2010. Well, that was a mighty powerful lesson......I almost died. You learn a lot in ICU for 30 days hooked up to machines, tubes, etc....
It makes you appreciate and acknowledge LIFE..... EVERYTHING EVERY DAY.
You learn to Dance BIG everyday of the rest of your life. Anyone that has had a life threatening illness, overcame an illness, survived a catastrophe, will tell you that they learned to go big, and appreciate everything, not to dwell on minutia.
Don't ever hesitate to tell someone you love them, help a friend, have that piece of cheesecake, or dance in the rain. Don't hesitate to live life to it's fullest, and don't hesitate to.....
Always DANCE BIG!
