She is a very insight-filled Blogger, Artist's consultant, Curator, and Artist herself AND has an amazing and sensitive eye.
I am the featured artist for June! (my Birthday month, what a present) Thank YOU L!
Artists create art for themselves. It's actually a very lonely and self indulgent practice in itself. We open our hearts, we open our minds and thus open others along the way, hopefully. While we create some of us are in a frenzy, action painters, some of us are in deep meditation. Most of us just click off and go to the zone. I use to play hand drums and this was the description of the "flow" in the zone, where we all were grooving at the same place, music seeming to melt into each other.....on the same wave link, etc. This is what it tangibly feels like to an artist when they are painting in that "flow". I strive for that, I love that place. It is a place of great bravery, great insight, freedom and expression. It is a place of person and non-person. It comes from the Universe, from the inner depths, from heartbreak, from love, from guts and glory, intuition, training, and history......
Oh I love that space.
I love stepping into it, love the thought of going there, love the journey inside and glow in the light of the aftermath. Oh I just love being an artist.....it's just so right for me.
It's simple because I get to express myself. I get it out. It is a selfish act, and I can dwell on my obsessions. My obsessions with looking at how time passes us thru looking at our environment.
